Connexus Family & Children Services provides emergency housing support and specialized long-term housing for youth and young adults. While in residence, our youth receive counselling and assessment, helping them to move from crisis mode toward a structured and supported future. Once stable, we help facilitate the transition to specialized homes that are appropriate for continued care and stabilized support.
We operate four residential programs; two urgent care homes (Fremlin and Watson Houses) and two specialized residential programs (Park and Knight). All residential programs have trained staff and are licensed through Community Care Licensing (Vancouver Coastal Health).
Our services are funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society (VACFSS). Referrals are received through the MCFD Resource Unit or Vancouver MCFD on a 24 hour basis. All children and youth referred are in care with MCFD or VACFSS.
We encourage you to take some time to familiarize yourself with our services.
